'Meine Schule', DSB virtual school tour

A group of Grade 3 students worked very hard on the topic 'Meine Schule/ My school'. They came up with a video project showing the viewers around DSB International school and introducing some of the teachers. They used the vocabulary from the topic and prior knowledge. This project helped the students develop skills from all four aspects of a foreign language - speaking (introducing the school), listening (while the teacher and other students read), writing (drafting the script) and reading (rehearsing for the recording). This project links to the following skills in the GFL Primary curriculum: GFL2 C2I2 Present information in modelled spoken/ written/digital texts relating to personal, social and natural worlds; GFL2 C3C1 Respond to imaginative print and digital texts in a variety of ways such as by acting out events, identifying favourite elements and making simple statements about characters.
